Basic Function

Responsible for the efficient handling and control of the parts orders, restocking inventory, loading and unload shipments, pick-up and delivery, as well as other duties assigned by the Parts Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare customer orders
  • Receive and examine incoming deliveries for discrepancies or damages
  • Records and places in inventory all incoming parts, units, components and assemblies, then store in the appropriate area.
  • Load and unload stock merchandise
  • Pick-up and delivery of products
  • Maintain parts and supplies inventory in an organized manner, and rotate or shift stock as needed.
  • Prepare seasonal parts/accessories displays and warehouse shelves as directed
  • Order and ship emergency parts from vendors to customers
  • Assist parts countermen as necessary
All warehousemen are responsible for:
  • See that the parts department is maintained in a clean, orderly manner always keeping safety and security in mind. Report deficiencies as necessary
  • Individuals must comply with all safety policies, and have the ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
  • Increase knowledge of business trade through meetings, training, and classes available for advancement.
  • Make yourself available for overtime, understanding that the equipment repair business may call for it from time to time
  • Cooperating with other company personnel
  • Advise superiors of all changes in the department which can affect company success

Education/Training
  • Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
  • Valid Driver's License - Must meet underwriting requirements
  • Prior Forklift experience necessary. Forklift Certification helpful.
