Cost Analyst - Military veterans preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain standard costs
Perform the monthly closing activities
Assist in monthly closing activities of the inventory accounts
Communicate issues and opportunities to operations management
Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers
Assist in profitability analysis in regards to quoting and costing
Work with Manufacturing to conduct regular cycle count observations with an analysis of adjustments
Communicate / Educate internal and external organizations regarding the cost data
Manage the day to day financial and data analysis for cost and manufacturing
Prepare variance analysis report for inventory, manufacturing cost and standard cost variances
Records, monitors, reports and communicates function/business results
Assist in the preparation of the annual plant operating budget

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting
Minimum of three 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
