What you will do
The Planner will manage the flow of material carts and containers to allow scheduling operations and expedites materials to maintain required flow of production to meet the overall finish date of production schedules.
How you will do it
Gets job instructions and organizes manufacturing operations and follows up department schedules.
Moves materials parts, products, dies and other equipment to and from designated areas.
Reports material shortages, works with material control to collect and provide information when the substitution of parts and materials is necessary.
Determines loading sequence in accordance with schedules.
Completes paperwork to maintain accurate records for stock disposition, prepares reports, maintains materials, files and operates equipment such as banding and scrap equipment.
Will also maintain material handling logs and keeps aisles clear and orderly.
What we look for
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience with inventory or material handling
Comfortable with working on computer; familiarity with Windows office systems; entering various data into internal systems
Able to follow all company safety policies
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where conditions can be hot, loud, and where you are exposed to moving mechanical parts
