POSITION TITLE: Director, OSP Engineering
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Director, OSP Engineering to join our Engineering team. This position will oversee fielding, designing, and permitting of OSP Projects as well as maintain GIS Databases for multiple customers. The ideal candidate has full knowledge of OSP Plant Design and is an expert developer in GIS Databases, is safety focused, customer and quality centric, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • High level leader with the ability to make challenging business decisions, gain a people following, participate in and drive the company culture, hold others accountable, and manage the outcomes of results
  • Participates and presents in strategic planning meetings, manages a group scorecard, ensures goals are met by following the I404 action planning process 
  • Direct leader of people ensuring the growth and development a group of the Engineering team utilizing the Performance Review and Development process
  • Directs hiring, payroll, time off, disciplinary action, performance management, terminations, and task/production management
  • Develops, tracks, and maintains production and quality metrics for an Engineering team to ensure that objectives and goals are being met
  • Extremely analytical to drive continual process improvements to internal standard operating procedures
  • Ensure the financial health of the department, forecasting, JCR reviews, and overall financial results of the department
  • Ensure customer retention and development to drive the growth of opportunities for the department with a strong passion of being customer centric
  • Expert at contract knowledge to drive the performance and production expectations within the department
  • Exceptional Work Ethic: ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; schedule could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, etc.
  • Ability to be challenged, take constructive feedback, and handle a high level of challenging situations in a professional way
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, projectors, copy/fax, and smartphones

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 

  • 8+ years’ experience in OSP, telecommunications, and/or electrical engineering required
  • 5+ years of proven success in leading high-performance teams and achieving results on purpose required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management preferred but not required
