Join the Cleveland Clinic team, where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare. The J52 nursing unit for Thoracic Surgery Step-down is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular and Thoracic institute. Since 1995, Cleveland Clinic has been recognized as one of the top hospitals in the country for Cardiology.
As a Registered Nurse in the Thoracic Surgery Step-down unit, you will provide care to patients who suffer from esophagectomies, thoracotomies, hiatal hernia repairs, bilateral lung volume reduction, heart failure, chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias and congenital chest abnormality repairs. An RN in this role will learn to provide direct nursing care, administer prescribed medications, prepare patient care plans and perform thorough bedside daily rounds. Work alongside seasoned nurses who are eager to educate and coach new graduates. What to expect during your residency program:
• A success coach will be available 24/7.
• Weekly check-ins to ensure personal and professional goals are met.
• Personal assessments to determine areas for growth and opportunity.
• 10 to 12 weeks of orientation along with 10 residency days throughout the first year.

• Can critically think and problem solve for patients’ best interests.
