Primarily a pediatric client, there is the opportunity to work with the adult population with orthopedic and neuromuscular concerns, as well as school-based clients (OTR/Ls only). Occasionally, telehealth sessions will be utilized as well.Responsibilities may include the following:Conduct screenings and assessments/evaluationsClinic-based (and school-related, OTR/L only) settingsPlan and complete ongoing treatmentsPrepare progress reports within 6-month intervals and annual evaluations (school-based is usually every quarter or trimester)Complete and maintain client recordsEducate family members and other working professionals on a plan of careEngage in OT department expansion (including but not limited to OT programs, activities, events, in-services, training sessions)Qualifications:Previous experience in occupational therapy working with pediatric population, particularly with children diagnosed with autism, developmental delay, etc.Ability to build therapeutic rapport with clientsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPositive and patient demeanor, particularly with adaptation and modification during treatment and/or evaluation sessionsCurrent NBCOT and California COTA/L or OTR/L licenseAdditional Requirements:Must have experience with the pediatric population in sensory integration, processing, and modulation.Preferably, has experience with adults in neuromuscular/orthopedic settings - preferred but not requiredPreferably, with feeding/swallowing experience and/or certification - preferred but not requriedApplication Process Steps at DV Therapy:Phone Screen: Our team will reach out for a brief phone conversation to discuss your qualifications and interest in the position.Interview: Qualified candidates will be invited for an interview to further explore their skills, experiences, and alignment with the company culture.Character Reference / Background Check: Upon successful completion of the interview stage, candidates will undergo a character reference or background check as part of our standard hiring procedure.Job Offer: Exceptional candidates will receive a job offer outlining the terms of employment, including compensation, benefits, and start date.Hired: Once you accept the job offer, congratulations!
