As the Financial Analyst III, you will be responsible for analyzing financial results and forecast projections for line of business and/or corporate departments and reports findings to senior management. Projects assigned are generally those of intermediate to high complexity.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
  • Reports and analyzes line of business and/or corporate department financial results, including variance analysis, trends, growth rates, performance ratios, etc.
  • Consolidates annual financial plans and interim forecasts for the line of business and/or corporate departments.
  • Develops and maintains a broad understanding of line of business operations financial results and contract requirements through communication with project accountants and line of business finance leads, interaction with vice presidents and occasional site visits.
  • Performs specialized financial or cost analyses (e.g. cash-flow analysis, “what-if” analysis) and prepares related reports.
  • Uses the TM1 consolidation system and Costpoint general ledger system for reporting and analyzing financial results and for developing forecasts and plans.
  • Prepares presentations and financial reports for monthly close, line of business meetings, lender and board presentations, rating agencies and any others as needed.
  • Consolidates tax and accounting package schedules for use in year-end audit, reviewing submitted information and drafting footnotes.
  • Assists in data collection/analysis and preparation of information from projects and/or corporate departments related to DCAA audits (forward pricing submissions, service center rates, etc.)
  • Completes special projects for CFO, VP’s, LOB Finance Leads and other senior management as needed. This may include review of contract proposals and assistance in new project start-ups.
  • Ensures that assigned projects comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Business Processes (BP’s).
  • Drafts/reviews BP’s and work instructions as needed.
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Six (6) years' professional level accounting or financial planning, four (4) yrs w/MBA.
  • Government contract experience preferred.
  • Costpoint and TM1 experience preferred.
 
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power Point, and Word.
 
SECURITY CLEARANCE:  May be requested to obtain a Secret Clearance.
