ABOUT THE ROLE: Ideal candidate will have at least 6+ months of general warehouse experience and is proficient operating a variety of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, high-drive lifts and walkie-rider pallet jacks. Preferred candidates will have exposure to handling soft and cased goods in the furniture industry.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Accurately record all inventory transactions using RF scanners and warehouse management system
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes
Light assembly, pallet banding, shrink-wrapping and repackaging items
Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
Identify, hold and escalate any orders not meeting specifications
Maintain safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma preferred, but not required
Power equipment experience, preferably an OSHA approved license
Must be able to operate independently on assigned tasks
Experience with handheld RF guns/scanners preferred but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift/carry 0-75 pounds frequently and 75 - 150 pounds occasionally (team lift)
Must be able to push/pull up to 150 pounds frequently
Must be able to bend/twist/stoop/kneel/squat/reach frequently
Must be able to stand/walk constantly through entire 8-hour or 10-hour shift
Must be able to hold and operate a handheld scanner frequently
Must be able to reach with outstretched arms frequently
Must be able to reach overhead occasionally
Must be able to work with exposure to seasonal temperature changes
