Sales Engineers work closely with account managers to engage and secure initial business as well as grow new business opportunities with existing clients. They manage the client sales process including: client meetings, presentations, technology, services and solution recommendations, evaluation, implementation, and proposal delivery. Sales Engineers contribute to meeting regional gross margin goals. Location:

Houston, TX Responsibilities: Assist in the selling process by participating in business development calls and meetings. Manage the proposal process and work with Technical Writers to create Statements of Work (SOWs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs). Coordinate follow-up sales activities (i.e.evaluation, implementation, training). Act as representative to identify opportunities as they relate to technical practice areas. Work with Technical Writers to develop standard proposal templates. Assist account managers in selling established contracts and develop relationships with prospects. Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance as well as research and recommend new solutions and services. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Obtain and maintain top tier vendor certification(s). Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional associations such as ISSA Qualifications: 5-7 years Experience with Juniper, F5, McAfee, Websense, Blue Coat, Aruba, RSA and ArcSight preferred - Certifications a plus Knowledge of regulatory compliance: GLBA, SOX, PCI, etc Thorough understanding of large scale environments Very good presentation and Microsoft Word skills A four-year degree is preferred but not required Position Requirements: Clearance, etc. Valid Driver’s License Ability to work greater than 40 hours per week as needed Ability to travel at least 20 percent of the time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Desired Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Desired Certifications: CISSP and other security specific certifications
