Jordan Health is now seeking anOccupational Health Technicianwho, under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer, is primarily responsible for helping identify health risks, link patients to appropriate resources, make positive lifestyle choices, and establish baselines for regular health monitoring. The Occupational Health Technician will support the Operational Health Practitioner to effectively operationalize the principles of the Occupational Health Services (Clinic).

Requirements

The Occupational Health Technician will ensure that:

The departments patients receive high quality, consistent, competent, patient-centered care.

Patient flow allows the department to serve optimal number of patients.

Is a strong Jordan team player.

The department is in full compliance with all requirements related to provision of care.

Education and Experience Required:

Two years of directly related experience or equivalent combination of related education/training and experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Current BLS/CPR through the American Heart Association.

Infection Control Certificate.

CAOHC certification.

Breath Alcohol Technician certification.

Pulmonary Function Testing certification.

Urine Drug Test (DOT) certification.

Hair Drug Test certification.

Certifications will be paid by Jordan if the right candidate is identified. The successful incumbent will be required to remain an employee in good standing at Jordan Health for a minimum of one year following completion of certification, or the cost must be returned to Jordan (pro-rated up to one year).

Special Skills, Knowledge Required:

Excellent computer skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Interviewing techniques (as this applies to interviewing patients/families for data gathering).

Strong communication and inter-professional skills.

Problem solving abilities.

Bilingual or multilingual status may be required based on needs of the department/organization and will be specified at the time of posting or interview.
