The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is located in Ormond Beach, Florida. As a Warehouse/Material Operator you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to warehouse functions including receiving, shipping, material handling, staging, maintaining inventories and material movement in a manufacturing environment requiring on-time delivery. Maintains the warehouse/shipping/receiving areas in a safe and orderly fashion. The position works under the direction of the department Team Lead and Warehouse Supervisor.Your responsibilitiesReceives incoming and ships outgoing materials, products or supplies accurately and promptlySafely loads and unloads trucks, stores materials and moves material to areas needed throughout the facilityVerifies the quantity and description of materials received or shipped and checks against packing list, recording any discrepancies to help maintain accurate inventory levelsAccurately places materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly mannerPerforms inquiries and processes information using various computer business systems, including printing labels, processing shipments, material transfers and reviewing inventory levels under supervisionResponsible for checking in inventory, writing up transactions and maintaining inventory accuracy levels to meet performance standards as established by managementPulls material, assembles and fills orders for both internal and external customersMaintains equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a safe, clean and orderly fashionDisposes of trash, cardboard and scrap in appropriate containersPerforms all other duties as assignedYour backgroundHigh School Diploma or GED and minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environmentBasic Communication SkillsBasic business acumenBasic problem solving skillsSafety and Quality focused - completes all mandatory Safety and OSHA trainingBasic Computer skills - Must be able to look up data/information on a computer and complete basic data entry transactionsAbility to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memosMust be able to safety operate and/or be certified as required in using equipment such as forklift truck, electric pallet lift, hand truck, air bag machine, stretch wrap machine, banding equipment, and other material movement equipmentAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsFlexibility to work overtime and various work schedules as neededIf driving the company box truck, must have FL Driver's License and safe driving recordCDL preferredCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USMore about usWe look forward to receiving your application.
