Assists with patient care, performs clerical functions and maintains and promotes a safe, clean and organized environment for the delivery of patient care.
Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic calculations at a level preferably acquired through completion of a high school education or equivalent.
Minimum Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred.
- Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to gather and share information with physicians, patients, visitors, families, and team members in a courteous and confidential manner.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritizing skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks done simultaneously.
- Physical ability to lift and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as push and pull when performing cleaning functions.
- Frequently bends, lifts, twists, reaches, and squats.
- Occasionally push/pulls and does overhead work, including splint cart and patients in wheelchair.
20 hours, 0.5 FTE Rehab Assistant position working in Pediatric Neurodevelopmental clinic in Kenosha. Role involves supporting physical and occupational therapists with daily tasks including scheduling, cleaning/stocking, patient care, administration, and patient calls. Opportunity for collaboration with broader team including therapists, patient access team, and therapy coordinators. Looking for candidates with an interest in working with a pediatric population, with additional pediatric experience potentially including babysitting, coaching, teaching, mentoring.
Work schedule will be Mon-Fri with specific hours to be mutually agreed upon in alignment with clinic and applicant's needs.
