Come grow with us!* **General Purpose and Scope of Position:** The role of the Dairy Technical Sales Support Specialist is to provide assistance to the Buhl, ID Ruminant Feed sales team by maintaining existing business relationships within the area. This entry-level role will also provide the opportunity to step into the technical sales team by developing sustainable practices to supporting existing businesses. **Key Skills and Abilities Include:** * 1-2 years Technical sales/ sales support experience working closely with farm customers * Associates degree or higher in animal nutrition, animal science, Ag business or related field * Able to support profitable sales target areas for growth * Promote company name and reputation in the marketplace * Collect market information and gain a comprehensive knowledge of farm operations. * Work effectively within the team environment * Dairy experience preferred **Key Personal Attributes Include:** * Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, suppliers, and coworkers * Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a strong work ethic * Creative thinker who can build a business and generate new ideas * Must be able to follow corporate direction and policies promoting excellence * Must be assertive, able to build relationships, and able to accept rejection * Service-oriented and with a strong commitment to quality * High level of integrity and professionalism * Knowledge of industry markets * Be willing to work as part of a team * Strong desire to succeed * Agriculture background would be helpful **Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:** * Testing Ingredients and taking lab samples at customer farm * Tracking and updating inventory at the customer farm for sales and order planning * Placing orders for customers * Delivering product to customers * Work with Sales Directors, Sales Consultant, FSQR team, and customer service team to effectively maintain an existing line of business relationships/needs with customers and suppliers * Work with Technical sales specialists to understand the products where Wilbur-Ellis would have a competitive advantage * Present feed opportunities of existing customers to Sales Consultant and other markets as opportunities arise to increase sale opportunities **Compensation and Benefits:** * Competitive salary (to be determined based on experience and other factors) * Benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, Employee Assistance Program, vacation, sick time, life insurance, + more); Pension Plan, 401k match up to 3% * Drug-Free Workplace ***If you are a current Wilbur-Ellis employee, please contact your manager prior to applying for this position.
