Senior JAVA Developer

Position Description
CGI is executing a multi-year engagement with our client to replace the clients? legacy system (Columbia Ultimate CUBS) with CGI's ADVANTAGE Collections system. The team is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer.

. Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration and development of a business to business internet portal that will be utilized by our client to communicate with client agencies (State agencies, Higher Education Institutions, local governments). The portal will enable the client agencies to submit receivables and receive updates on status and results. The portal will be a front end to information stored and process by CGI's ADVANTAGE collections position. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
This position requires a strong Sr. Java resource with 7+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:
? Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.
? Ensures that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.

Required Skills:
? 7+ years experience as Java/J2EE developer
? Strong knowledge of the frameworks (Spring MVC, Spring Security, Grails)
? Strong knowledge of ORM tool (Hibernate, Ibatis, JPA)
? Strong knowledge of UI development (JSP, HTML, CSS, Ajax, XML)
? Strong knowledge of web services (WSDL Soap, Restful)
? Proficient and hands on with Application Servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss)
? Good knowledge of relation database, specifically Oracle (SQL - PL/SQL)
? Practical experience in developing complex, high-traffic websites
? Exposure to SOA
? Experience of test driven development with jUnit
? Experience in a continuous integration environment
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
? Excellent organizational and coordination skills
? Ability to work both independently and with a team
