The Asset Reliability Planner/Team Leader is responsible for supervising all machine maintenance, maintenance personnel assignments, maintenance training, planning, department customer service and building and grounds.


Additionally is responsible for the execution of maintenance work cycle by receiving, planning, estimating, scheduling and coordinating all Maintenance Work Orders, PM’s, and equipment rebuilds. The Asset Reliability Planner also reviews and revises PM”s. The Asset Reliability Planner coordinates availability of facilities and equipment to be worked on, necessary materials (kitting jobs), special tools, equipment, and labor skills required for orderly and efficient work execution.  He/she sees that proper documentation of work performed is provided in accordance with standard practices for use in the evaluation and control of the maintenance function.


Supports CPS and the PM Pillar. Responsible and assists with projects related to the development and sustainment of the pillars to include but not limited to:  Line productivity metrics, MTBF, MTTR, RTA, BDA, etc.


The role maintains close liaison with Production Teams, Maintenance Technicians, Engineers, storeroom personnel and with other Planner/Team Leaders.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Manage all cell Maintenance personnel including daily work schedules, vacations, sick days, etc.
  • Manage maintenance employee’s performance against plant goals in safety, quality, cost, customer service and culture.
  • Fully utilizes Maintenance’s Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) to plan, assign, provide feedback and report on the performance of the maintenance department (including breakdown analysis on equipment failures).
  • Maintain excellent troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Maintain a high degree of knowledge of motor control circuits and electrical schemes/schematics.
  • Help manage department CMMS system, including PM’s, PM audits, equipment, purchase orders, work orders, work order histories and employee timekeeping.
  • Perform duties as plant Safety Management Expert (SME) for Hot Works Program, Fall Protection Program and Confined Space Program.  Schedule all training and refresher training for these programs.
  • Emergency Response Team member responsible for the upkeep of the program and the regular testing and drilling of the team members.
  • Report weekly to the upper management on the status of the plant through the completed open work orders that exist.
  • Manage the weekly Project Line to completion.
  • Assign the work orders that each mechanic is responsible for during daily operations.
  • Assists in the planning of on-site or off-site company events.
  • Acts as a member of the Plant Safety Committee.
  • Generate maintenance department metric reports and graphs


CPS/ PM Pillar responsibilites as assigned.



Planning Responsibilities

  • Manage the ConAgra maintenance work cycle
  • Review, plan and schedule each maintenance work notification / work order utilizing SAP
  • Exudes a high degree of inter-personal skills and has the ability to work well with everyone
  • Utilize SAP to optimize PM’s and PM audits, BOM’s, functional locations, equipment histories, and equipment assemblies
  • Plan and  schedule OSHA compliance training and other training for Maintenance and Stationary Engineer departments
  • Attends and facilitates the weekly planning/schedule meeting.  Finalizes schedules for which he/she is responsible, ensuring the work schedule balances with the labor hours
  • Coordinates requisitioning of all predetermined materials, special tools, and arranges for their timely delivery. Request that equipment to be worked on will be available and ready (i.e., lines drained, tanks cleaned, filters washed, etc.).
  • Interacts directly with outside contractors
  • Distribute the completed work schedules together with the Work Orders chosen each day to the Maintenance Area Lead. 
  • Meets with and discusses work plan with department leads, supervisors, and operations leads focusing on special instructions or considerations to be observed in the execution of the jobs

QUALIFICATIONS (Include education, certifications/licenses, experience, language,

mathematical, computer, level of reasoning, physical demands and preferences (a plus)):

  • High school diploma  
  • Preferably Associates or Bachelors Degree
  • SAP or CMMS experience
  • Formal planner training or experience
  • Three to five years experience in maintenance role in a manufacturing environment




  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Computer skills, Word, Excel, CAD and PLC’s.
  • Three years background in Allen-Brady PLC’s.
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree





  • Machine maintenance repair background.
  • Electrical background or licensed electrician.
  • Computer skills, MS-Word, MS-Excel, and CAD.
  • Blueprint reading and electrical schematic understanding.
  • Allen-Brady PLC experience or general PLC concepts.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
