Job Description: Reporting to an RPM Manager at the Rapid Response factory in McKinney, Texas, the Machine Tool Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repair and maintenance of all manual and numerically controlled machines in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Job duties include:
Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues that arise with machine tools and support equipment
Completing periodic machine tool preventative maintenance to ensure machine availability and reliable performance
Interfacing daily with machinists, replacement part providers, support staff and management to quickly resolve equipment issues and implement future capital
Implementing cost reduction initiatives to increase RPM?s effectiveness
Other production oriented tasks (product assembly, tool grinding, welding, machining) as schedule permits
Working safely every day and supporting efforts to maintain an injury free work place
At least 8 years of experience resolving mechanical and electrical equipment failures with numerically controlled machines including up to 5-Axis machining centers, lathes and coordinate measuring machines
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with FANUC controls
Proficient at reading and understanding machine tool documentation and engineering blueprints
Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with machinists, support groups, suppliers and management
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Highly competent and trustworthy. Sincere relationship management skills are a must
Demonstrated ability and experience with numerical controlled machine tool and coordinate measuring machine operation, cutting tool grinding and/or welding
The ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
High school diploma
FANUC or machine tool factory training a plus
Electronics associate degree or certification a plus
