POSITION OVERVIEW

The Technical Training Manager is responsible for all regionally delivered training, delivery excellence, content maintenance, scheduling and training effectiveness. This includes the coordination and delivery of class room trainings, webinar trainings and Side by side training and coaching. The Technical Training Manager is responsible for the coordination, delivery and effectiveness for core training programs related to the technology, repair, sales, and protection of personal electronics. Frequent collaboration with sales leadership will be required to identify training needs. The role will report to the Director of Training and will support sales and operational initiatives enterprise wide.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in formal training or instructional design
  • 5 years in retail or the consumer electronics industry
  • Ability to train, motivate and educate employees at all levels
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills in general
  • Experience with Virtual Instructor Led training methods and systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external C-Level level employees

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified in training methods, paradigms, Instructional design
  • Minimum 5 years management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consult with senior management, Director of Training to assess training needs and develop programs to match these needs
  • Conduct virtual instructor led trainings, classroom trainings and on site coaching for designated regions
  • Formats, researches, designs, and writes technical materials to support on and off-site training
  • Formats, researches, designs, and develops training course materials, which may include: operation and maintenance manuals, training plans, outlines, learning objectives, instructor guides, student guides, workshop exercises and performance tests.
  • Management and development and maintenance of core training programs. (Technical and repair training, New Hire, Leadership Development)
  • Coordinate field training initiatives with field leadership
  • Formulate training outlines and determine instructional methods developing effective training materials utilizing a variety of media
  • Maintain accurate administration details and results metrics of all training programs
  • Responsible for reiterating and re-enforcing companies, values, mission, goals and objectives
  • Maintain all Company standards for performance and behavior
  • Other duties assigned by the Director of Training

  • Extended periods of time standing

  • Repetitive motion tasks while doing computer work
  • Exposure to active wireless equipment, signals and transmissions
  • Some Traveling required, via car and or airplane
