Raytheon’s Mechanical Engineering Directorate (MED) provides engineering design, integration and production to a wide range of hardware in Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS).

The Platform Integration Department leads mechanical design, development and integration of platform systems. This includes shelter systems, hardware integration, cable & interconnections, as well as facility development & site integration.The department is comprised of individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration and production support.

Responsibilities include all daily business administrative and coordination tasks including but not limited to:

  • Coordinating meetings and conference room scheduling

  • Sets up/maintains/updates electronic, centralized file systems

  • Review, approval and tracking expenses and arranging travel

  • Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources

  • Synthesizes information to create meaningful and effective documents, spreadsheet, reports and presentations

  • Calendar management and tracking of action items

  • Interfacing with other functions (programs, facilities, operations) in the conduct of Raytheon business

  • Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures

  • Serves as office planning liaison to facilities, ensuring readiness for new and relocated employees

  • Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations

  • Performing special projects as required by the Department

    U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Candidate must be able to operate effectively and efficiently in a dynamic team environment. Candidate must also be comfortable engaging with senior level internal and external customers and have the ability to handle confidential and non-routine information. Candidate must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to prioritize work within a multi-tasking environment understand and stay on top of task deadlines and due dates. Candidate must have excellent judgment and take initiative to get things done in a self-directing manner. The candidate needs to take responsibility on tasks, and follow through to ensure completion. The candidate should also recognize process improvement opportunities in the department workflow.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience as an administrative or executive assistant

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with staff, other administrators, internal & external customers, and senior management.

  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize while maintaining flexibility in a demanding front office environment.

  • Be organized and detailed oriented, manage multiple high priorities and have the ability to appropriately prioritize work.
Required Education:
  • Associates Degree; Postsecondary Certificate; or progress towards a degree
