Lead Accountant - Consolidations and Financial Reporting

Position Description/Job Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Consolidations Lead Accountant will be part of a team that consolidates KBR financial statements using HFM for external and internal reporting. This includes supporting the SEC reporting group and Business Units with consolidated data, schedules and analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and/or review monthly Consolidated KBR and Business Unit financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows using HFM

Prepare and/or review monthly reconciliation of consolidated and unconsolidated investments, equity and other accounts including elimination entries.

Assist with the preparation and review of various quarterly and annual schedules supporting SEC reporting

Assist in maintaining various documentation for SOX compliance and audits

Assist with financial reporting and special projects as needed



Requires a bachelor degree in accounting

Requires 5-10 years financial reporting, accounting, and consolidations experience with a sound understanding of US GAAP

Ability to perform complex activities associated with maintaining the HFM consolidation system, developing reports and providing analysis of balance sheet accounts

Must have the ability to work independently and well with others, be a flexible team player and be proactive

Must have the ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities

Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills

Advanced Excel, SAP and HFM skills a definite plus

Public Accounting Experience a plus

CPA a plus
