Job Description:
Calibrates, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots instrumentation and equipment for Engineering, Production and Quality Departments to ensure conformance to established calibration and quality standards. Responsible for keeping detailed records of inspection results and providing Engineering with reports through existing calibration software. Uses specialized testing equipment to perform engineering analyses, and performs routine analyses and calculations using general knowledge of mathematics and statistics. Prepares and maintains inspection and test procedures for instrumentation.

In addition to the above, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Standing at least 50-80% during the work day
Walking short distances at least 10-20% during the work day
Bending at the waist 10% during the work day
Lifting and/or Carrying < 25 lbs. during the work day
Able to wear cleanroom attire (gloves and mask)

Required Skills:
4 years of experience in the calibration and repair of electronic/electro-mechanical, process control equipment and mechanical equipment
Physical Dimensional experience with torque devices
Demonstrated experience utilizing written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge and experience with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and calibration tracking and documentation software

Desired Skills:
Familiar with the calibration of Zeiss and Zygo Instruments
Working knowledge of electrical and temperature calibrations
Physical Dimensional experience with micrometers, calipers and deltronic pins
Familiar with all aspects of the ISO17025 Standard
ASQ Certified Calibration Technician
Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD Calibration training
R6Sigma or Process Improvement certifications

6 years of experience in the calibration and repair of electronic/electro-mechanical, process control equipment and mechanical equipment

Required Education (including Major):
High School Diploma or GED

This position can be a Tech Support Specialist (G04) or Tech Support Associate Sr. (G03) based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and responsibility requirements for this position.
