Job Description Summary
The current opening is for an experienced Lead Hand Electrician to cover the preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems and process equipment.
Job Description
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include performing electrical maintenance, installation and construction of a wide variety of equipment including industrial control systems, power distribution equipment, high voltage equipment and generators.
Other duties include general commercial level electrical maintenance and installation in a commercial office building which may include telephone and data cabling, battery chargers, UPS's, small equipment repairs, lighting and sound systems.
The incumbent will have experience using a variety of tools and test equipment related to the trade, and will operate heavy equipment as required.
Maintains accurate records of maintenance and work order tasks on an automated CMMS
Requirements
A strong background in electro-mechanical equipment maintenance is desired for this position.
A minimum of 7 years' experience as a Licensed Electrician is required.
Current knowledge of best practices of professional maintenance practices, methods and equipment commercial office environment
Experience and familiarity with WHMIS, Provincial Safety statutes and basic applicable building codes, regulations
Customer service skills
Strong organizational and planning skills with prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities to meet time sensitive deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Flexibility to work outside of core hours when business needs dictate. This position will be on call for emergency situations.
