Description:The selected candidate will be the Tactical Data Link / SOF Air Mission Suite (SAMS) subject matter expert for execution of Air Force Special Operations Air Warfare Center’s Readiness Training Center (RTC) flight and ground simulators in Distributed Mission Operations exercises, Mission Rehearsals, and virtual Calls-For-Fire Training.
The successful candidate will work with our military customer, site functional areas, and personnel from other distributed locations provide subject matter expertise in SAMS, Enhanced Situational Awareness (ESA) and C2 operation, COMSEC loading and secure radio set up and operation and LINK 16 / Situational Awareness Data Link (SADL) utilization, during SOF simulator events/training. Occasional travel will be required to support training and planning events. This position reports to the DMO Lead. Candidate will create weekly status reports and keep the DMO IPT Lead and Team informed of operational requirements and scheduling impacts. Additionally, candidate will display aptitude necessary to learn technical details of modeling and simulation in order to develop and implement the integration of new/emerging DMO systems, as necessary.
Candidate will utilize SAMS (ESA and C2) LINK 16 BOSS, Microsoft Office, PFPS Falconview, computer generated forces AFSOC JTAC System (AJS), Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE), Excite, and other software tools as required.
Experience using LINK 16 BOSS, Secure radio and data link systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Secret security clearance with capability of upgrading to Top Secret/SCI.
Experienced Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO), Interface Control Technician, SOF radio operator. LINK 16 planners’ course, Joint Tactical Information Distribution System Course, and related training/education. Recent support to Digitally Aided Close Air Support systems (BAO, etc.). Experience in SOF aircraft Specialized Automated Mission Suite/Enhanced Situational Awareness System.
