The McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center assembles and tests some of the most advanced Electro-Optical Infrared products in the world. Test Technicians perform a variety of tasks to validate, troubleshoot and adjust these products to deliver the highest standard of quality equipment into the hands of the warfighter.

Test Technicians work in a fast-paced production environment and are required to follow detailed work instructions and troubleshooting trees to address problems that arise in the test flow. Test technicians use a variety of high-tech test equipment. This is a second shift position, though some initial training will occur on first shift. This is a full time (minimum 40 hours per week) position. Must be able to work occasional overtime during the week or on weekends to support customer demands.

Due to the classified and sensitive nature of the product and processes, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems, and be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within 1 year of employment

Required Skills:

  • 4 years of work experience in Assembly or Test Operations
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Computer literate to access work instructions, complete data entry and online training
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting and solving problems
  • Superior communication skills
  • Technicians are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including smocks, gloves, face guards and hairnets

Desired Skills:

  • Previous or Current Security Clearance
  • Experience working in an engineering environment and reading engineering prints
  • Understanding of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and FOD reduction/prevention methods
  • Experience handling electro static discharge (ESD) sensitive items

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma, or GED

Desired Education:

  • Associate‚Äôs Degree
