MWR Technician-(Equipment Repair)

Conducts activities required to operate Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) facilities. Responsible for issuance and monitor security of MWR assets: fitness equipment and outdoor recreation equipment. Perform Equipment Maintenance and PMS.

Assists in the set-up/tear-down, clean up and conducting events for facility reservations. Performs routine facility inspections, monitors safety, damage to facility and MWR equipment. Assist in conducting MWR facility property inventory monthly, daily patronage counts. Attends meetings and on the job trainings when required. Ensure accountability of all staff during work shift and shares facility upkeep and assigned duties with the HCN workforce. Submits requests for work orders, basic maintenance or IT technical support as needed.

Additional Duties:

  • Conducts Fitness Equipment PM Maintenance per manufacturer’s schedule.
  • Performs repairs on damaged fitness and recreation equipment and makes recommendations for repair parts needed.
  • Performs TI on FWT GFE equipment /makes recommendations for new procurement to KBR Fitness Director.
  • Assists Fitness Director in receipt of GFE property and supplies and performs installation of new fitness equipment/ mountain bikes/ other Outdoor equipment/ Recreation equipment.
  • Interface daily with Military patrons for scheduling facilities /court reservations.
  • Must be able to assist patrons in demonstrating the safe use of all fitness equipment.

Minimum Skills :

  1. Current CPR/First Aid AED, Red Cross.
  2. Customer Service Training
  3. Life Fitness Equipment Repair experience and or Certification/on- site training
  4. Must have minimum 2 years Electronics Repair or Fitness Cardio/ Equipment Repair Experience
  5. Must be able to work independently, making sound decisions.
  6. Previous experience working with Military

Additional requirements:

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
  • Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
