Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Systems Analyst to join our team in the Bethesda, MD area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The selected individual will be a critical part of the Symantec Altiris IT Management Suite 7.1 implementation team and will be responsible for identifying, collecting, and documenting all business needs and operational requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead stakeholders through requirements gathering workshops in order to collect and document business goals, processes, decision criteria and user requirements
  • Work closely with the engineering team in order to determine the appropriate solutions to the business problems and participate in the creation of the project implementation schedule
  • Create and maintain the business requirements document (BRD) and Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RTVM)
  • Work with IT leadership and the Altiris implementation team to enable clear communication during the design and build phases of project, making sure that the solution is built to satisfy the business needs
  • Establish procedures and control gates for requirements validation
  • Work with stakeholders to establish methods and metrics for measuring the ‘before’ and ‘after’ performance of the service operation
  • Assist stakeholders in preparation for deployment including pre-requisite process and policy changes, change management, data preparation, and user training
  • Create and deliver training materials
  • Create custom reports as requested by senior management or customer
  • Produce clear and concise documentation capturing system configuration, design, and standard operating procedures, using MS Visio, MS Project, MS Excel and MS Word

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and six or more years of experience using: MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Symantec Altiris ITMS Suite is desired.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize one’s own activities with competing internal and client requests
  • Working experience in gathering application, database, and requirements from users and stakeholders
  • Working experience in facilitating meetings in order to solicit feedback from end users and stakeholders including client interviewing, requirements gathering (1-on-1 and leading large workshops), solution review, process improvement, and training
  • Working experience in creating and maintaining a business requirements document (BRD) and Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RTVM)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with the ability to listen, question, and understand client’s needs relative to enterprise software solutions
  • Working knowledge of system architecture and COTS/GOTS application integration
  • Proven track record of successful business analysis engagements with medium to large projects
  • Comfort in gathering requirements for software-based projects, and business process improvements
  • Ability to manage and prioritize one’s own activities with competing internal and client requests

Security Requirements:

TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph within 90 days.
