The candidate will be responsible for the planning, management, and execution of test activity required to support delivery of various product line aircraft (both land-based and maritime) to domestic or international customers. The scope of responsibility includes:
-coordination with design and test functional organizations to establish requirements
-technical support of ground and flight testing at Sikorsky, US Government, or customer test facilities
-responsibility for budget/schedule associated with these test activities
-coordination of test activities and documentation required to achieve qualification and certification with the appropriate airworthiness authorities.
The candidate will also interact with the customer as the Sikorsky Test Engineering representative in the management and execution of the test programs. The candidate will ensure clear and regular communication between the Test Engineering Team and the internal/external customers. Candidate must be willing to take ownership of a project to ensure Statement of Work compliance while also ensuring compliance with safety practices and company policies. This position will be based in Stratford, CT. Candidate must be flexible and willing to travel as necessary to support customer requirements (approximately 20% of the time).

Basic Qualifications
B.S. (required) or M.S. (preferred) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Sciences. An MBA or other business background is a plus

Desired skills
Minimum of 7 years? experience in Aerospace Engineering disciplines with 5 years in Rotorcraft development and Flight Test experience. Thorough understanding of both the technical and business aspects of rotorcraft industry and test engineering. Candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral) to support substantial customer interface needs and negotiation activities. Familiarity with military rotorcraft flight operations is desired. Skills in analytical thinking and problem solving are also required
