GDIT is actively recruiting to support Hosting, Operations and Maintenance (HOM) services for HIGLAS.  This effort includes developing and maintaining a secure and certified architecture to support e-Government initiatives; minimize the CMS security risk and enhance the protection of privacy and security of data, and improve the CMS? ability to accommodate the growing workload.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will support the daily operations of Configuration Management and manage the baselines of streams and deployment of changes to systems along with supporting documentation. The candidate will execute Pre and Post deployment queries and reports to reconcile/audit the configurations in Test and Production Instances.

Responsibilities and Job Functions:

  • Maintain the Configuration baseline of all Code and Configurations
  • Develop, manage and maintain CM plans and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify and develop Configuration Item (CI) baselines, maintain CM library, and prepare change requests  (ServiceNow) for Configuration Item updates.
  • Manage change control activities for the CM team
  • Coordinate all build promotions into controlled environments.
  • Develop and maintain an instance maintenance schedule.
  • Update and maintain all CM deliverables, work products and other outputs

  • Support emergency/expedited requests as appropriate.
  • Develop metrics to show trends and to assess the effectiveness of the CM processes and procedures.
  • Provide Management and Executive status updates as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least three out of the last five years ?


  • Minimum of five years hands-on experience using a Configuration Management tool/application and Source code repository management
  • BS and nine years related experience, or MS and seven years related experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience with analyzing or modifying CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental/operational system while ensuring alignment with PMP.
  • Experience with identifying configuration items, implementing change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits
  • Minimum of three years implementing CM discipline for the entire lifecycle of systems from initial requirements and capabilities baselines to system end-of-life to align with IT Service Management
  • Experience with applying concepts and analyze and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, including creating product build scripts and procedures
  • Experience in working with teams to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines
  • Track all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes, control standard operating procedures, and current configurations
  • Experience working with teams to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines,
  • Experience with maintaining the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration


  • Federal consulting experience in Oracle Federal Financial Environment
  • Experience with Rational tool suite (ClearCase, ClearQuest, BuildForge)

  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification

  • PMP
