CADD Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

?

Prepares CADD drawings and illustrations in accordance with established format requirements and drawing standards.

?

Provides graphic support and maintains database library for reference.

?

Uses computer and recognized systems of symbols and legends to create original drawings that communicate engineering design information.

?

Revise existing drawings based on verbal explanation, sketches, and marked-up prints.

?

Develop drawings in various formats from electronic files of various types.

?

Create/edits charts and images and presentation materials.

?

Apply knowledge of procedures and systems to a broad range of basic issues.

?

May require knowledge of specialized processes or technical skills.

?

Maintains database library of all facilities including as-built documents, roof and building assessments and other facility documents.

?

Produce and maintain electronic campus footprints and various designations.

?

Update databases and maintain and update facility analysis.

?

Track information for project specific jobs.

?

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

?

Works inside and outside in various weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.

?

Work around non-hazardous materials/waste lifting, stooping, crawling, bending, and carrying.

?

Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.

?

Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

?

A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school coupled with 1

year?s related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

?

Requires CADD Training Certification.

?

Currently holds or ability to successfully obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
