The Contracts Specialist will provide contracts administration and management support in the following key focus areas: proposing, negotiating, administering contract change orders, customer correspondence, interface with internal and external customers on contractual matters, flow down of contractual requirements to performing organizations. The selected Contract Specialist will perform these duties in the Integrated Communications Systems Mission Area of Space and Airborne Systems. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.


Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience of professional experience in contracts, subcontracts, legal or similar business field
  • Strong communicator both orally and in writing; robust analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork and trust
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to obtain DoD clearances
  • US Citizen

Desired Skills:
  • Defense Industry specific Contracts or industry related experience preferred
  • Understanding complex documents and ability to interpret requirements
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Understanding of regulatory policies to include: US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers
Required Education
  • BS/BA is required in one of the following majors: Business, Finance or Related Field; JD or MBA a plus
